Over thirty women took part In the weekly competitive program. Mrs. Woodruff carried her Aag to 'the skcond green, along with Mrs. Robert A. Bruce and It was necessary to arrange a playoff to decide the wlnnM*. Second ’ honors went to Mrs. R. A. Bruce and third place to Mrs. Charles Palmer who almost redcb- the second green. The putting cont^ honors went to Mrs. Robert A. Taller who took 34 puts on 9 holes. The second and third place honors proved to be a three-way tie between Mrs. Charles Jdoller, Miss Priscilla Buckley and Mrs. Arden Lowndes, who all post ed 37 putts. The six blind hole.putting com petition was won-by Mtsa Priscilla Buckley who registered but 12 putts. Mrs. W. F. Buckley donated the first prize. The balance of the prises came from the pro-abop. Another all out ladies day will be on the order of affairs on next Monday. Sheffield made a beantlful come back in the afternoon round, shoot ing a neat 73 but Sheorn matched that with a 7B, to win out on the 17th hole where Bhaftlald put hM tea shot wit 9t bounda. ^ The turning point of the match could be brought back to the lOth., 18t)i and ISth holaa of the after noon round when It looked Ilka Sheffield might have w<m those holes. Sheorn however made bril liant recoveries to maintain hla lead. Both playeis hit their shots tree to the targets and thrilled the gal lery by booming tee ahota that averaged between 150 and 100 yards. The second fillet was a battle between Granger Gaither and M. Muller, Jr., with the Utter winning 3 and 1. 'This was an even match with Muller'winning on the 17th hole. Thomas Ancmm defeated C.
