Watkins Honored On
30th Anniversary
Mr. and Mra. John H. Watkins
were honored on their 30th wedding
anniversary by their children, at
their home, on Thursday night,
March 11, from I-IO p. m.
About 50 guests were present,
and were received by Mrs. E. B.
Murrell and seated in the Itving
room.
A line was formed, led by Mr.
and Mra. John H. Watkins, and
marched into the dining room for
refreshments, which was beautiful
ly decorated with pink and white
candles and Jonqquils.
After refreshments, Mr. and Mrs.
Watkins opened many lovqly and
useful gifts. Games were played
and aH present had a lovely even
ing. • -
Mr. and Mra. Jtrfin H. Watkins
were married on March 4, 1918,
near Cassatt and have made their
home since.
Mr. and Mra. Watkins have three
children, Bonnie Watkins and Les
lie Watkins of Cassatt and Mrs.

The Hunt Room at Sarsfleld
hotel was the scene last Fidray of
a lovely party when Mra. Julian
Ehchel, Mra. Simon Schel ajxd her
mother, Mrs. Charles Block, enter
tained at luncheon for Mrs. Carl
Schlosburg, a recent bride, who
was the former Virginia Bennett of
Charlotte, N. C., and Camden, and
Mrs. Elihu Schlos.burg, who was
before her marriage, Ella Slessing-
er of Bishopville.
Large vases of Dutch iris, shasta
daisies and axaleas were used in
artistic arrangements in the Hun
room and the luncheon table, where
the 15 guests were seated, was
centered with a low bowl of mixed
spring flowers and white carna
tions. Individual carnation corsages
attached to place cards were given
as favors.
Following luncheon, cards were
played until late in the afternoon.
