evening at 7:30 o’clock in
the recorder’s court room of
the city hall for the purpose
of selecting a date for the
city Democratic primary at
which Democratic candi
dates for Mayor and twb
city commissioners will be
chosen.
Under the terms of the act
creating the commlsslon-clty man
ager form of government the Mayor
and two commissioners must be
formally elecled at a general elec
tion to be held on the second Tuea-
day In June, which ia June 8. The
Democratic primary or primaries.
If more than one is necessary, must
be completed before that tlma.

thropist, civic leader and ro-

near Santa Fe, New Mexico.
He had arrived at Santa Fe
on Thursday night and was

at Leroy Saturday but waa
