W. C. Moseley, vice president of
the Colonial Stores, formally pre
sented the company’s new store to
the Camden Shopping . public at
opening ceremonies held last Thurs
day. Mayor F. N. McCorkle made a
speech of acceptance on behalf of
the Camden shopping public.
In his address the mayor stated
that the people of Camden were al
ways delighted to see progress and
he commended the Colonial Stores
on the very handsome and very
modern store which they had built.
The new store, which is the new
est and moist modern in the Colon
ial Stores system, attracted large
crowds on its opening dayslast
week.
Many executives of the Colonial
Stores system attended the open
ing and some of them were guests
at the regular weekly luncheon of
the Camden Rotary Club on last
Thursday.
Di D. Lee, who has been manager
of the local Rogers store for the
past 17 years, is manager of the
new store, J., T. Cato is market
