has been named field manager of
the Sumter Palmetto league base
ball team, according to an an
nouncement by Hank Polntel, who
Is sponsoring the Sumter club.
Hutchinson, a lefthanded pitcher.
Is expected to be the No. 1 mounds-
man of the Sumter team and when
not pitching probably will be at
first base or in the outfield.
Hutchinson coached the Gaffney
American Leglop Junior baseball
team last year and when that job
was completed her returned to Sum
ter and pitched good ball for th«
