A special dedlcatloh dance to
Mrs. Granger Oalther, president of
the auxiliary, was played by re
quest of a war veteran and In ap
preciation for all that she did for
the boys’ entertainment at Uie
Service Center In Camden during
the war.

tion were Randy Duffey, who ac
quired a Springer Spaniel; Fair-
field Cougan, who bought the broil-
maater, and Warren Smith, who
bought the “Million Dollar Baby.”
Mrs. Arden Lowndes, chairman
of the ball, and Mrs. Oalther, the
president of the suzlUary, presided
graciously as hostesses for the
evening. The results of the evening
proved that all others heading com
mittees had done their iiart to pM-
fectlon. Mrs. John VlUepigue did
a supwb Job of decorating and
Mrs. Eklwin Ouy performed the
cohMsal - work of seeing that all
the tables and chairs were se
cured and placed plraperiy. Mrs.
Rhetta Blakeney did a good Job in
the sale of tickets!
Mrs. ^Ellssbeth Thomas had
plenty of good refreshments on
hand for the crowd. “Mas” Mc

Auxiliary met on Monday after
noon at the home of Mrs. R. J.
Wardlaw, Sr. The program was pre
sented by Mrs. C. B. Pressly. De
lightful -refreshments were served
after the program.

were visitors in Columbia on Tues
day. ■

Clements and Rev. J. 8. Robinson,
were all In the registration office
on Monday morning preparing to
perform their duty and privilege by
voting in the general election this
fall.
Mrs. J. M. Preemui and baby,
Jimmie, of Columbia, spent the
^weekend with her mother, Mrs. J.
H. Clements. They went to Camden
on Saturday and had some dental
work done. Dr. Freeman came over
Sunday and accompanied them
