Dr. William W. Patrick, promin
ent Chicago surgeon, was a week
end guest at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. FVank H. Heath, Hampton
street. Mrs. Patrick, daughter of
the Heaths, was unable to make
the plane flight with her husband
but plans a ylslt later in the spring.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sheom and
children. Barbara and Roy, Jr., of
Asheville, N. C., spent the week
end here with Mr! and Mrs. Willis
Sheorn and Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Leadley (Mrs. Shoorn’s mother).

Katherine Sheorn, who is attend

Mr. and Mrs. C. L. McCaskill of
Cassatt announce "the marriage of
their daughter. Betty Jane, to Al
bert WiUon Mosier of Washington,
D. G!., and CTasisatt. The wedding
took lt>Iace February 12 in thp par
sonage of the Camden Baittist
church, with the Rak. O. Floyd
Montgomery officiating In the pres
ence of relatives and a few friends.
For her wedding the lovely
bride chose a tan gabardine suit
with brown accessories. Her cor
sage was two orchids.
Mrs. Mosier graduated from Mid
way school and attended Wlnthrop
college. Until recently she had been
emplt^ed in Columbia.
Mr. Mosier served ihree years
In the Army Air Corps and is now
stationed at Bolling Field, Washing
ton, D. C.j where the young couple
are making their home.

Episcopal church is sponsoring a
Fashion Show and Tea at the Court
Itin on Tuesday, March 16 at 3
o’clock.

One of the most attractively
planned of the recent parties, was
given Tuesday afternoon when Mrs.
William Stokes, Jr., and Mrs. Mar
vin Stover entertained with a mis
cellaneous shower at the home of
Mrs. Stokes for Mrs. Herbert Bran
ham, the former Miss Louise
Stover. .
A Valentine motif was carried
out In the decoration for the party,
with the pastel shades predominat
ing in the color, scheme. Pastel
shades of mixetl carnations • and
vesper Iris "’ were used. A reading
was given by Mrs. William Stokes,
Jr., on husbands and Mrs. Douglas
Smith read a recordipg of the
comments of the bride. Mrs. Bran-j
bam received many beautiful and
useful gifts. The hostesses served
congealed salad, cake and punch.
Out of town guests were Mrs. Bar
bara Ralley and Mrs. Eunice Bran

of Gkstonia, N. C. Mrs. Brown has
lived with her aunt, Mrs. Ueorge
Ashley of Lancaster for the past
several years. She was employed at
the Springs Cotton Mill in Lancas
ter.
Mr. Brown is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. A. R. Brown of Mt. Vernon,
South Dakota. He has recently been
employed at the bleachery in Lan
caster.
The young couple will make their
