Mrs. “Buddy” Mays entertained delightfully on Tuesday evening at her home with* four tables of bridge. George Washington birth day motif was carried out in tally cards, table covers refreshments and gifts. High score pr&e was won by Mrs. Bethune McLaurln, second high by Mrs. D. M. Mays and floating prize by Mrs C. B. Mlt- cbell. McKinnon of Evans Ga., spent several days last week with her mbther, Mrs. W. A. Mc Dowell, who had recently returned from Camden hospital where she was a patient. Funeral services of Mrs. Lewis Neal were conducted Sunday after noon at Shamrock church by the and friends. Interment was in the church cemetery. The floral offer ings were many and beautiful. Mrs. Neal is the sister of Mrs. Ira B. Horton, Mrs. D. F. Hilton, 'Mrs. T. J. Hinson, L. J. Baker and W. E. Baker of the Shamrock community. Mr. and Mra. Tom Ed Hearon at tended the concert given by Miss Carrol Glenn, noted concert violin ist. in Chester Thursday evening. Miss Glenn is a natlVe of Chester and Mrs. Hearon was a pupil of the concertist’s mother. MrSj Eva Morgan and . Campbell and little daughter, Priscilla of Page- land, were guests of fj-lenda here Sunday. Mr. Campbell was super intendent of the school here three years ago and they are pleasantly remembered. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Boykin at- tended the Stokea-Benton marriage in Bishopville Friday evening. Mrs. Benton is a niece of Mr. Boykin. Misses Joyce Fowler and Willie Esther Ratcliff of Winthrop Col lege spent the weekend here with their parents. • Mrs. Love Hearon, who has been making her home in Camden for a number of years, has return ed and moved into the home with her son and family..
