BUNDBROSK SCORES WIN
Sparked by Frederick Tejan, the Blindbrook polo
foursome, one of the Yankee groups of the Camden polo
club, applied the whitewash to the Camden Ramblers at
Kiricwood Held Sunday afternoon, the final count being
7 to 0. Tejan scored two of the goals registered by Blind-
l>rook while similar totals were posted by Charley Boy
Sabin and Luis Ramos. Eddie Tejan, playing the No. 4, or
defensive spot, balked the efforii of the Ramblers toMtore,
Tbe whitewash application was
the first to be registered in Cam
den polo circlee in several de€.ides.
It wasn’t that the Ramblers did not
try to score, but it was a case of
the Jinx exercising an afternoon of
bard luck against Lightfoot a:<d his
pseudo group from old Mulberry.
Lightfoot missed several goal shots
that went awry only by Inchet.
The same was true of
drives.
On the other bend, the Blind-
brook shorts were more accurate
and paid oft In counters.
Despite the extreme cold weath
er and. the, crnstatlon of ice and
snow that was everywhere In evi
dence Sunday morning, the arrival
of Old Sol af noon, with hia blase
of sunshine caused the polo club
group to hastily countermand a
cancellation of the afternoon fame.
It was a good thing that the game
was played, for quite a big crowd
of the faithful, many from out of
the city, showed up. The field was
tn splendid condition for fast play.
The only drawback ato the pro
gram was the talture ot the public
sddreaa system to operate. The
equipment bad luffered a abort cir-
suit due to the sleet and cold.
The first chnkker was scoreless
for both teams but In the second
Bddle Tejaa broke the ice with a
well-placed goal shot. Charley Sab
In, who is probably thf most Im^,
proved player In the Teji*n menage,
sedred for Blindbrook a minute
later. There was no scoring H the
third but Blindbrook went places
in the remaining three ebukkers.
Ramos and Fred TCjan scored
fourth with nice goals. Sabin and
Fred Tejan scored In the fifth and
Tupper’siRamos added the seventh point'in
I the sixth.
The third and deciding game of
tbe series will be played this com
ing Sunday, starting at 8 o’clock.
The Ramblers declare that with
warmer weather in prospect and a
hard field, that they will be able
to return to form and give the
