-rt ss follows: Series . B $1,5€2.-
jUM, Swdes F $170,403.50 and
lirie, 0 $597,000.00. totalling $2.-
18,205.50.
{s connection with the current
ft^eera over inflation, it is heart-
liMM to note, said Ur. Herman,
total sales of sariags bonds
^ tie nation are eontinaing to ex-
cMd redemptions, and that the
ftlne of sarlngs bonds outstand
ing had reached a new high of
nearly $52 billion at the end of
Norember, of which more than
|45 billion worth are in the hands
of. individuals.
In B bonds alone there are $30,-
8f4,000.000 oatstanding all owned
by Individuals, and this sum is
within one-uqarter of one per qent
of the peak volume of the E bonds
outstanding at the close of the
Victory Loan at the end of 1945.
In other words, thrifty Americans
have bqen able to increase the sav
ings bonds total and to sustain the
volume of B bonds during two
years of post-war readjustment,
despite the rising cost of living.
High purity oxygen has many
uses in industry, medicine and in
aviation.
