Becomes Bride Of
Edwin Robert Segars
The Flrfct Baptist church wa*
the scene of a beautiful and im
pressive wedding on Sunday after
noon, November 30. at 6 o’clock
when Miss Dorothy Patterson,
daughter of Jfr. and Mrs. James
Edward Patterson, became the
bride of Edwin Robert Segars, son
of Mrs. Williford J. Segars and the
late Mr. Segars.
The Rev. O. Floyd Montgomery,
Assisted by the Rev. Mr. Beden-
baugh of the Beulah section,- of
ficiated, using the double ring cere
mony.
The vows were spoken befere a
background of lace fern. Southern
smilax, long leaf pine ai)d standing
baskets of white gladioli. An a!-ch-
way of white lattice entwined with
fern and white seven-branched
J candelabra hplding burning Cath-
c dral tapers completed the nuptial
scene. Theodore Patterson, brother
of the bride, lighted the candles.

Bridge Club Meets
The members of the Wednesday
Afternoon Bridge club were ghetto
this week of Mra. A. C. McKain
at her home on Hampton street.
Mrs. Hubert Wilson and Mrs.
M. G. Muller played for absent
members. Table prlaea were won by
MrA Wilson and Mra. F. D. Good-
ale. The hosteaa served a delicious
salad course before the card game.

by,her father. The bridegroom had'
as his best man, hit brother, Harold
Segars of Camden. Miss Doris Pat
terson was her sister’s maid of
honor and Miss Mildred Marsh,
Miss Esther Love Lee, Miss

The flower girl was little Lynn
McNair of Hamlet, niece of the
bridegroom.
The bride, a beautiful and
petite brunette, wore a wedding
gown of Ivory slipper satin, made
with a deep yoke studded with
seed pearls, rainbow hue sequins
•md crystal beads. The tight bodice
ended in a low peplum and the
long satin train fell from the hips.
Her veil of bridal Illusion was at
tached to a coronet of seed pearls
and she carried a white prayer
book topped with a purple-throated
white orchid and sprayed with
tube roses tied with streamers of
narrow white satin ribbon.
The maid of honor wore a frosted
pink satin gown, made off the
shoulder with the neckline out
lined In flowers. It had
torso bodice and extremely full

cut by the bride and groom.

left on their wedding to the moun
tains of North Carolina, after
which they will reside in Camden.

accessories and her orchid from
her prayer book.

the Camden city achoola and now
holds a position In the office of
