Catherine McLaughlin was the out
standing player tor Midway.
Murry Baker of Gnat Falls, who
died in the Veteran’s hospital In
Columbia last Friday night, was
burled Sunday afternoon at 2:80
at Providence Baptist church ceme
tery. He had lived here a number
of years before going to Great
Falla. He Is survived by three
daughters, three sl'ters and five
brothers, his mother with whom
he made his home. His wlfo who
was before marriage Miss Iflanche
Bowers, a daughter of the lat > Mr.
and Mrs. Landy Bowers. The fu
neral services were attended by
a throng of friends and relatives
and the many beautiful flowers
bore evidence of his unselfishness
and popularity. Onr deepest sym
pathy is extended the bereaved
family.
