That Camden football fans ap
preciate the colorful Camden school
band was indicated by the gener
ous response that came when the
hat was passed to raise a fund to
send the band with the team to
Charleston. 'The fans really shell
ed out.
■We’re tickled pink over the fact
that the band will parade on the
fine Charleston stadium between
halves. If there la a band In the
state that is the egual of Hal
Middleton’s yearlings, we’d like to
have some one tell us about It.
Well, the Florence obstacle is
passed and if we get by Charles
ton tonight, which we believe we
will, I it will be Clitfter and the
peak scrap of the ytar. Up In
Chester last week, we^ heard plenty
of talk In the soda cliques and If
there is one game those lads up
there, want to win, it is the one
with the Bulldogs.
Which ln*a^y man’s language,
means that the acn^> here next
Friday night is going to be a dlag-

'The North Charleston Blue
Devils trounced Dreher High of
Columbia 38 to 7. and the fans
down that way are already putting
in a claim for state honors.
A sturdy Winnsboro High served
notice that It also, has some team,
defeating Blahopvllle 27 to 9 in a

Samter roared over Darlington

The Conway Green Wave eked

Sport writers about the state re

it looks as if the Bulldogs may

We would add—providing Green

of the ledger.

More than ordinary interest was
evidenced by Camden football fans
In the Duke-Navy game of last
