She attended the schools of Ridgeway and Baron DeKalh. Mr. Tmesdale is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam C. Trueedale of West- ville. He is a graduate of Baron DeKalh high school and served over two years in the 'navy daring World War II. Immediately after the cwempny the couple left for a motor trip through the mountains of North Carolina. On their return they will reside with the bridegroom’s par ents at DeKalh. • ••••• West-Waters’ Wedding Of Interest Sunday, August 22 Quaint Bethesda Presbyterian church waa the scene of a beauti ful wedding Sunday afternoon, August 22, at 5 o’clock, when Miss Catherine Elisabeth Weet became the bride of WillUm Thomaa Waters. The Rev. A. Douglas McAm, pas tor, performed the double ring cere mony before a large assemblage of relatives and friends. For the oc casion the church was effectively decorated wHh Southern smilax, masses of white gladioli and seven- bfanched candelabra holding white cathedral tapers. Before the ceremony, Mrs. A. D. McArn, organist, rendered a pro gram of nuptial music. She played “O Perfect Love”, Bamby; “Medl- Utlon” from ’"Thais” by Massent Mias Marian Burgess, soloist, sang “Because” by d’Hardelet and "’To * Wild Rose” by McDowell. The “Wedding March” from "LcHiengrinr by Wagner was used for the processional and during the ceremony “Liebestranm” iLisxt) was played. They wore dresses simUar to the other attendants, their dresses being in shell pink and they carried minia ture nosegays. *1116 bride, a beautiful blonde, who entered with her brother, Raymond T. West, by whcm she waa given In marriage, was lovely in her wedding gown of white mousselene-de-aoire with a deep lace trimmed yoke, fitted bodice, small satin buttons down the back and the long sleeves ended in calls illy points over the wrists. The full skirt extended into a trairi and the finger tip veil of bridal Illusion fell from a coronet of orange bloe- soma. She carried a brides bou quet of white tube roses, centered with a white orchid and showered with tiny satin streamers tied with lily-of-the-valley clusters. Mrs. West, mother of the bride, was gowned in star-sapphire blue crepe and her flowers were Talis man roses. Mrs. Waters, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a black crepe short dinner gown and a corsage of American Beauty rose buds. Immediately following the cere mony the bride’s aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant E. Brannon, entertained at a reception at their home, 1808 Fair street. *1116 bridal couple was assisted in receiving by their mothers and the bridal party. In the dining room the bride’s table covered with an exquisite . Italian cutwork cloth, was renter- ' ed with the beautifully emborsed triple-tiered wedding cake flanked by white tapers In silver holders. On either end of the table were low arrangements of white asters, gladioli and fern. Ivy and white candles decorated the living room mantel and quantities of white flowers were used throughout the house. Punch bowls were presided over by Mrs, Raymond T. West, Misses 'Virginia and Doris Stokes and -Betty Jane McCtasktli. During the evening the young couple left for their wedding trip to the Great Smokle mountains of Tennessee. For traveling the bride wore a Milanese green gabardine suit with black accessories and the white orchid from her wedding bouquet. Mrs. Waters Is the daughter of Mrt. Louis L. West (Marie Stokes) and the late Mr. West of Camden. She was graduated from Camden high school and attended Wlnthrop college. She la at present in the stenographic department of the I I III I U - ■I FBI in Charlotta. The bridegroom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Waters of Cam den, finished in the Caniden city schools and served with the armed forces in the navy during the last war.
