Allan Norris, who was operated
upon a week ago, is reported to be
doing nicely. Mr. Norris is in charge

ed to her home in Cassatt after
spending a week in New Haren,
Conn., with her daughter and son-
in-law. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Buck-

days with her mother, Mrs. L. E.
Myers. Mrs. Myers expects to re
turn with them for an extended

and Mrs. Richard Brown Drakeford
of Camden, became the bride of
Jared Manly Smith III, son of Mr.
and Mrs. J. Manly Smith of Blshop-
vllle. on Sunday. August 8. at 3
o’clock in the af^rnoon.
The ceremony was performed by
the Rev. O. Floyd Montgomery, pas
tor of First Baptist church, at the
honie of the bride's aunt, Mra. Ed-

the presence of the Immediate
families.
'The bride, a lovely brunette, was'
stunning in a white tropical
worsted suit with black and white
accessories and her flowers were
a shoulder corsage of purple lipped
white orchida.
Immediately after the ceremony,
the bride and groom left for a
short wedding trip to the moun
tains of North Carolina, after which
they will be at home at 807 De
Kalb street.
Mr, Smith is associated in the
grocery business with his father on
Broad street.
