regular Palmetto league schedule
and the Chiefs will be called upon
to face five and probably six teams
during the interval. Four of the
games will be at l^ome.
Beginning next Monday night, the
week’s schedule calls for the play
off of a ralnedout game with Sum
ter at Sumter. On the following
night the Chiefs battle Sumter
here. On Wednesday night Ben-
nettsville comes here for a game,
Thursday night Hartevllle is here
and pn Friday the regular tchednle
cornea to a cloee with Florence
here. It is possible that a ralned-
out game with Biehopville may be
played on Saturday night at Biab-
opvllle.
The playoff series starts the. fol
lowing week with the top team
meeting the fourth place*team and

team finishing third. The series
will be the best three out of five
games and the winners are to meet
in a best four out of seven series

these weeks or months they may
be spreading their germs to others
Employers would do well to en
tourage the practice ot periodic
physical examinatibns, including
chest X-raye, among their employ
ees. By means of the chest X-ray,
unsuspected cases of tuberculosis
will be discovered. These unknown
cases are the real source of dan
ger, not the arrested case.
While it is true that thdre are
certain types of work,- particularly
those calling for great physical ex
ertion, in which the former tuber-
culone patient should never engage,
there are many more positioiis
which he can fill safely and with
satisfaction. Fortonately, more and
more employers . are coming to
realise that the former tuberculous
patient makes a good employee.
