the Alderman of the City ot Cam-
den; Sonth Carolina, and by an-
thoiity of the same, that the fol
lowing taxea be, and the same are
hereby lerled. for the current yeai
from 4he first of Jannary 1947, to
tbe 31st day of December 1947,

SECTION ONE: A tax of thirty-
five (36) mills on each and every
dollar of raal and personal prop
erty within the corponto limits of
the City ot Camden, 8. C^ from
the first day of January, 1947.
SECTION TWO: The tax books
tor the coUagtion of the City taxes
will be open In the office of the
City Clerk and Treasurer, Camden,
8. C., on tlm first day of Septem
ber 1947, and remain open each
day, except Sunday, from 9:0Q A.
M. to* 1:00 P. M. and from 8:00
P. M. to 4:30 P. M. until the 1st
day of March, 1948. The following
dlacountF will be allowed on the
payment of taxes:

Twenty-fire (25%) per cent or fifty
(60%) per cent portion of taxes,
If 80 desired by the taxpayer, will
be accepted rather than the pay

the taxea and assessments, or any

1st day of January, 1943, the City
Clerk and Treasurer shall proceed
to add a one (1%) per cent penal
ty on the City duplicate, and the
City Clerk and Treasurer'shall col
lect the same; If the said taxes,
assessments and penalties are not
paid on or before the 1st day of
Febma/y, 1948, an additional pen
alty of one (1%) per cent shall
be added by the City (Herk and
Treasurer on the said duplicate and
collected by tbe said City Clerk
and Treasurer; If the said taxes,
assessment and penalties are not
paid on or before the 1st day of
March, 1948, an additional penalty
of one (1%) per cent shall be
added bj the City Clerk and Treas
urer on the said duplicate and col
lected by the said City Clerk and
Treasurer; If the said taxes, as-
seesmenta and penaltiei^ are not
paid on or before the Ist day of
April, 1948, an additional penalty
of on© (1%) per cent shall be
added by the City Clerk and Treas

urer; and If the said taxes, as
