all high school football teams is
required to undergo a complete
physical checkup. It has proren a
big success and there are scores
of instances on record where slight
defects were discorered, corrected
and phjsically perfect athletes se
cured.

W. F. llettles, Sr., has returned
from Titusrille, Fla., whwe with
Mrs. Nettles, was a guest at the
Hotel Dixie, thmw for a week.
While there Mr. FMtles gateed
wide renown as a fisherman, going
out one day with B. T. Stall, for

Mr. Nettles staged a fish fry for
a group of hotel guests, including
his old friend B. T. Start
But those fine trout were not the

the Florida trip. Before returning

groTss nearly the Dixie hotel and
secured fire bushels of fine Indian
rlTsr fruit which he later dis
tributed to some of his friends

The curtain has gone down on
the 1247 polo season.
That was the announcement
made by Manager CyrU Harrison of
the polo club thia^week.
It was hoped to be able to plar
one more game, next Sunday, be
tween two teams of the club, but
tbe ponies are in such shape, after
taking a real beating during the
season, that it was felt that the
wisest course would be to call it
