Bah urday sTening, April 5. in Bethesda Presbyterian chnrch at Camden. The Rer. A. Douglas McAm, pas tor of the bride, officiated in the presence of a large assemblage of relatlTos and friends. The lmpre% sire double ring-ceremony was per formed. Smilaz, palms and white glad- lolas with white tapers in can delahra effectirely decorated the - charch ior-- the occasion,. Alarklng the family pews were white satin ribbons showered with fern. Mrs. A. Douglas AcArn, organist, and Mias Gene Williams, Tocallst, famished the wedding music. Be fore the ceremony "At DawnlngJ’ and "Because" were sung. "Bridal Chorus" from "Lohengrin" was used for the processional and "Wedding March” from "Midsum mer Night’s Dream" (Mendelssdhn) for the recessional. During the ceremony "To a Wild Rose" was softly played, and before the bene diction. Miss Williams sang ‘"The Lord's Prayer”. Lighting the candles were the Junior ushers, Henry Watts of Camden and Gene Watts of Ches ter, cousins of the bride. The senior ushers were E. H. and James Watts of Camden, uncles of the bride. The bride was giren in marriage by her father, James A. Ros- borough. She was lovely in her wed ding gown of ivory satin. The bodice featured a sweetheart neck line embrodiered with, seed pearls, and small covered buttons which extended down the back of the bodice to the hipline. The long fitted sleeves were shirred at the shoulders''With points over the wrists, while the skirt ended a graceful train at the back. Her fin ger-tip veil of bridal fusion was edged with Alencon ^ee and fell from a coronet of seed pearls. LMtgiM Wm Haw* Eight Cluha On Roatar Lake City haa taken the place of Darlington in the Palmetto State baaeball league and the league will swing into action on Monday, May 19, with the following teams: Camden, >' Sumter, BennettaTllle. Hartsville, Kingstree,' Florence, Blbhopville and Lake City. Georgetown wanted a berth in the league but the distance factor caused the application to be re jected while that of Lake City was approved. Lake City is less than 18 miles from Klngstree, which means that some of the talent seen in action ornament was a tercon set lovalier, gift of the father to her mother, and worn in the bride’s mother's wedding LeGrand Campbell of Chester field, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Mrs. James Rosborough, mother of the bride, wore navy blue bem- berg with embrodiered bodice, us ing a corsage of pink roses. Mrs. Frank DeBerry, mother of the bridegroom, wore black crepe, lace trimmed, with a corsage of flesh pink gladiolus, Mrs, DeBerry was graduated from Camden' high school and has been donig secretarial work with Thomas ft Howard company. Mr, DeBerry was graduated from Morven high school In Morven. N, C., and after serving in the navy three years, has taken a position at shipping clerk at Thomas ft Howard of this city. During the evening the young couple left for their wedding trip. The bride wore a .going-away suit of acqua with matching hat and brown and white accessories. She used the orchid corsage from her bridal bouqpet The bride and bridegroom will re turn to their home on Mill street, Camden. p. Another meeting of the league is to be held soon at which time the schedule for the season will be formally adopted. W. J. McCutchen of BlshopvUle, last year secretary and tressurer, was elected to head the league this year as president. He succeeds Dr. James McLeod of Florence. Louis Pallas of Florence Is the new vice president and the Job of secretary and treasurer will be taken over by Roy Graham, sports writer of the Worence Morning News. The following were elected di rectors of the league: W. P. Tim merman, Hartsville: R. J. Patter son, Bennettsvllle; Beck Russell, Camden; A. C. Swalls, Klngstree; Bruce Smith, Bishopvllle; Vernon E.
