Dr. J. McLauchlin. 82-yeai^ld
retired physician and farmer, died
at 7 o’clock Monday night at the
Columbia hospitaL
Pnneral services were held at
11 o’clock Wednesday morning from
the graveside in West End ceone-
tery at St Matthews, conducted by
Dr. W. N. Liddy, assisted by the
Rev. McL. McDonald.
Doctor McLauchlin, a native of
^chland county, was a son of the
late John McLauchlin and Ehnma
Bjmum McLauchlin and husband of
the late'Mrs. Rosa Buyck McLauch
lin. ^
He is survived by a daughter,
Mrs. B. W. Whetstone; a son. J. P.
McLauchlin; a grandson. Tommy
McLauchlin. all of St. Matthews,
and a sister, Mrs. T. M. Crosswell
of DaUeU.

Wrecks Finley,
On their way toward winning the
SCAC championship, the Blup
Eagles of Mather Academy wreck
ed the Finley eleven, 18-6, in a
thriUing game in Chester, Novem
ber 14. This was the seventh
triumph for the Blue Eagles.
The touchdowns for Mather were
made by Ralph Cooper and Na
poleon Nelson, with the extra point
by Jimmy Pickett Players who
made outstanding tackles were: El
mer Pickett, Boykin Dinkins and
John.P. Wright
’The Blue Eagles will play Mayo
High in Darlington tonight.

the Devil", showing today and Sat
urday in connection with the pic
ture program at the Camden
theater.'
The film, made in Hollywood
shows a series of traffic accidents
and portrays in a vivid manner the
cause of each. The film is dssUiMd
to be a part of the national safgty
campaign. ,
