In Sooth Carolina tome eight or
ten crops normally occupy a largnr
acreage than sweet potatoes, but-ouly
four or five yield a higher total value
of product, Clemson specislieta de

possibilities.
A recent study undertaken by Clem
son was designed «to determine the
productivity of the principal soil types
with respect to sweet potato yield and
quality, and the per acre returns from
sweet potatoes in , comparison with
other crops that might be grown on
soils of comparable quality.
