Burns, Mr. and Mrs. Moultrie Burns snd Mr. and Mrs. Julian Burns were Joint hosts at a delightful party honoring Dr. and Mrs. Benton Burns. In the receiving line wM-e the hosts snd honorees. The dining room table was covered with a beautiful hand-made cloth, centered with a^ sliver bowl of white flowers and flanked by white candles In sil ver candle sticks. Punch, sandwiches and mints ware aerved. Assisting In serving were Miss Caroline Richard son, Mrs. Gene Russell, Miss Louise Ancrum, Mrs. Thomas Ancrum and Mrs. Dick Relgm*, rated with white-gladioli and candles In candelabra. Before the ceremony Miss Marion Richards, accompanied by Miss Ellxa- beth Richards, at the orgna, sang All For You” and Those Endearing Young Charms” and as h benediction “Oh Perfect Love". Mrs. John O. Rich ards, organist, played the “Bridal Chorus” from "Lohengrin” as the pro cessional and Mendalssohn’s “Wed ding March” as the receeslonsl. - The candles wer* flghted. by George B. Cunningham, brother of tho bride, and William a WardUw, who served m ushers. The bride, who was gl^eu in mar riage by her father, wore a dress of white Jersey with white accessories. Her oaly -OFuemeut-was a-strand of pearls, a gift ot the bridegroom. Sh* carried a white nosegay of tuberoses centered with s white purple-throated orchid and showered with tuberoses and streamers ot whits satin ribbon. Mrs. James G. Thompson of Knox ville, Tenn., sister of the bride, was matyon of honor. She wore a dress of pink Jersey with blue accessories and carried a nosegay of tuberoses and pink rosebuds. The bridegroom had as his best man, DeLoach Sheorn ot Camden. After the wedding a reception was held St the Home "of the bride’s par ents for a few close relatives and out-of-town guests. Later in the evening the couple left for a wedding trip to the mountains of North Carolina. For traveling the bride wore a beige summer suit with black accessories.
