laat July 4th for the White Sox at
Kingatree. He gare np aeren hits aa
agalnat fire reglatered by Camden
against Farmer. The final count waa
4 to 0 in faror of the Kingatree talent.
Farmer la, in oar estimation, one
of the ontatanding pitchers of the Pal
metto loop. He used to be tops when
with the Samter high and Samter
junior Legion teams. In the game on
July 4th agalnat Camden he not only
did a swell Job at barling but his bat
accounted for most of the Klngstree
runs.

Fans Peeved When
Gama li Teinnated
By
The Camden White Hose kicked
away the Friday afternoon battle with
the tailend Bishopville leagners by a
3 to 1 score in a seven inaing tilt
that left Camden fans in a mood of
resentment
Robinson explainad that the seven
inning game waa by agreement with
the manager of the Biohopville team,
who had extended a similar courtesy
to the Sox in BtahopvlUe.
Bishopvflle was entitled to win, as
the cellar champs played a better of
fensive and defensive game than did
the Sox. In the first inaing the Cam
den defense fell apart to permit the
visitors to score the two runs. A
hit batsman, two bobbles and a nose
dive Performance In the infield and
outfleMTcansed the mischief.
The victory was honey for Bishop-
vitte and pnt a lot of encouragement
in the yonks of the fans of that city.
For the night before the Bishops hod
held the HortsvlUe powerhouse to a
4 to t score. _
Camden’s lone run In the game
came in the second inning-when they
loaded the sacks with no one out, but
could do no better than push one
runner home. Chandler pitched for
Camden and the visitors got to him
in nearly every Inning. Stokes did the
hurling for Bishopville and he was
stingy with the Csmdra batten.
