June 26 at 6 o’clock at the home of
Mrs. Lewis Perry Mackey in Kershaw
when her daughter. Miss Margaret
Lou Ellen Mackey, became the bride
of Daniel Allen Smoak of Cordova,
S. C. The Rev. J. C. Bridges, pastor
of the First Presbyterian church of
Kershaw, performed the ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Mrs. Lewis
Perry Mackey of Kershaw, is a grad
uate of Wlnthrop college and for the
past several years hss been a mem
ber of Cordova school faculty.
Mr. Smoak la the son of Mr. and
Mrs. A. L. Smoak, Sr., of Coi^ova.
He served in the SOth division for
four years and eight months, nine
months of which was spent overseas.

furnished the wading music.
The bride was most attractive in a
suit of blue garbardine with white ac
cessories. Her corsage was of red
roses. Her only ornament was a brace
let given by the groom's mother.
Immediately after the ceremony the
couple was entertained with a wed
ding dinner at the home of the bride’s
mother. Later they left for North
Carolina on their wedding trip.
Mrs. Wheeler is the daughter of
drs. Mary R. Truesdale and the late
1. H. Truesdale of Westville, S. C.
Sh* attended Baron DeKalb high
school of Westville, and la now ,em-
ployed at the Glenn L. Martin’s air
craft in BaHimors, Md.
