son returned from Pine Bluff, N, C.,
Sunday. They spent several, days last
week there and attended the wedding
of their brother, Lee Buchan to Miss
Louise Martin of Aberdeen. The wed
ding took place in the First Meth
odist church at Aberdeen, N.'C. J. W.
Buchan was his brother's "best man.

rain storm was prevailing, services

Hall's sister, the Misses Jones, at the

sons spent a vacation here last week.

ards of Cheraw were- weekend guests
of his sisters at their home here.
News was received on Sunday that
Mrs. L. J. Perry (the former Miss
Pet Cunniagham of Liberty Hill) Is
quite ill at her home In Spartanburg
and friends here are hoping for her
early recovery.

heard that their son, Billy Higglna,
has undergone an operation and la
doing nicely gt the Naval hospital in
Panama. j

Camden Is welcoming Mrs. William
A. Mullen who arrived in this city
on Monday from Edinburgh, Scotland,
where the and Mr. Mnllen were mar
ried on March 9 in St. Mary’s Cathed
ral. Mrs. Mullen Is the former Miss
Gladys Aitken, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. A. G. Aitken, Brunswick Road.
Edinburgh. Mr. Mullen is the ton of
Mr. and Mrs. John Mullen of Camden.
He attended the Virginia MUitary
Institute, the University of Nebraska
and Cambridge university in Bhigland
and was recently discharged from the
United States army engineers. ^ He
will return to college soon to continue
his education, which was Interrupted
at the time of hla enlistment
