The recent change ®bf the radio
networks and staUons to Bastem
Daylight Savings time has caus^
much annoydnee to local radio fane
who found that they have to tune in
for their favorite programs one hour
aheadof the time listed^in the press.
Quite a number of Camdbn fans are
interested in tbe boxing events sched
uled Monday and Friday nights at 10
O’clock program time but which are
now going on the air at 9 p. m., Cam
den time.
Not only has the public been some
what befuddled by ^e time oltuatlon
but the clocks on Camden's downtown
section of Maih street were also all
muddled up. The Western Union
clock at the DeKalb Pharmacy comer
got all excited and after drifting back
some ten minutes, shot ahead about
20 minutes and then quit completely.
The City Hall clock was five to six
minutes off. Jerome Hoffer, whose
sidewalk sign featured a clock, found
that it was Just too much of an ef
fort to keep up with the changes, so
he took the hands from the clock.
