The vows were spoken before an improvised altar of southern smilsx and palms, floor baskets of white gladioli, oar. nations and ferns and a seven branch candelebrs carrying lighted tapers. The candles were lighted prior to the ceremony by Charles Rateree, the grom’s man. l^e matron of honor, the bride’s tmly attendant,- was her sister, Mrs. Wiftiahi B. Haley. CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY Little Miss Penelope Ann Dutchers celebrated her seventh birthday on Saturday afternoon, February 18, with a party given by her mother, Mrs. Don J. Dutcher. About twenty friends of '^Penelope helped enjoy the occasion,’ these in cluded her teacher. Miss Bllie 2Semp, a great aunt, Mrs. Lather Moseley, and grandmother, Mrs. R. L. He attended Clemson college before entering the sir corps. He received his discharge' in January after aerv-' ing several months overseas as a First Lieutenant. Mr. and Mrg. Hayei will make their home in Durham where Mr. Hayes will attend Duke University and Mrs. Hayes will be on Ute nursing staff at Duke hospital. Out of city guests at the wedding were: Mrs. L. E.
