Mr. P. R. Coctaer, president of the
Sooth Carolina Employees 'Sales-
Sorety Organization announced to
day that a new wag^ agreemcat had
been negotiated with the local man
agement of the Standard Oil Com-
paay of New Jersey. The new agree
ment provides for an 18 percent in
crease in base pay' rates in affect
August 21, 1848. Last Septomhar ^
Employees Ssles-Snrety Organization
negotiated an agreement calling for
a IS percent Increase tn wage rates.
In view of changing conditioss. nego-
tiallons were reopened. The addition
al three percent will be retroactive tp
