The Women’s Auxiliary of Betbesda
Presbyterian Church prepared for the
young people’ll club a very delightfnl
dinner last Wednesday evening. Din
ner was served at eight o’clock in
the church school building, which
was beautifully decorated with colors
of blue and white.
. A stanza of "America’’ was sung
before the group was seated, after
which Billy Salmond gave Thanks.
Between courses of dinner, there
were two musical specials—Eldward
Thompson singing ”1 Can’t Begin To
Tell You", and Patricia Maddox play
ing “Claire de Lune”. Morty Muller
gave the general welcome and the
salute to the auxiliary. Frank Nell
was toastmaster for the occasion.
Mrs, A. D. McArn, the young peo-
pie’s councilor, led the group In many
Jolly games.
This most enjoyable evening was
closed with a benedictory prayer by
Dottle Rosborough.

FSA Announces 56
New Farm Owners
In Kersbaw CQunty
Kershaw County has 66 new farm
owners who have attained ownership
as a result' of their participation in
the Farm Security Administration.
John J. McBachern, County Supervis
or, announced yesterday. The an
nouncement was made following a
tabulation for the state of S. C. which
revealed that one out of every sixteen
of the full farm ownprs In the state
attained ownership * through FSA.
The record shows, Mr. McEMchem
said, that many tenant families are
capable of owning and operating
farms of their own if provided th^
opportunity of ownership. The PSA,
through its rehabilitation and farm
ownership programs, to the extent of
its ability, be said, is providing this
opportnnlty.

fronted with the prospect of moving
year aDer year", Mr. McEbchern
