Hold Meeting
The Kershaw County J. H. A. meet
ing was held at the Camden high
school on January 10, 1948. Eighty,
five members from Bethune, .Blansy
and Camden were preeent.
The meeting was called to order
by the president. Belle Kirkland.
After the business we were entertain
ed by the Camden girls with sn In-

ments were served in the Home Eco
nomics Department

The next meeting will be held in
April at Blaney. We hope to have all
schools of the county present.

first grade teacher, left Saturday to

Soeeley (Blise Hammond) Is laavinc
Bethune. Mrs. C. B. MHchall Is sab-

Shamokln, died suddenly Wednesday
night Rt his residence. Born in Vir
ginia. he had ms^e his home in and
near Camden for tl years, where be
organised and built the Church of
Christ in Du Bose park. '
The Rev, Mr. Wynn is survived by
his widow, Mrs. Ella Brown Wynn;
one brother. L. Wynn of North Caro-
llsa; one stepson, Robert Turner, U.

Funeral services were held at. 4
o’clock Friday afternoon from the
^Church of Christ, conducted by the
^Rev. James 0. Burrow of Columbia.
