A lovely wedding of wide Interest
was that of Miss Nancy Elizabeth
Sanders and Robert Glenn Tefft,
which took place at 8 p. ra. Novem
ber 17, at the Court Inn. The Rev.
J. E. Burke officiated in the presence
of a large assemblage of relatives and
friends, using the double ring cere-
mony.
Palms, fern, southern smiiax. seven
blanched candelabra, holding lighted
cathedrai tapers and baskets, ef white
gladioli, formed the background for
the vows.

Wllilama sang “The Lord’s Prayer”
(Mallotte). “The Bridal Chorus” from
"Lohengrin” (Wagner) was used as
the. processional ^and “Wedding
March” (Mendelssohn) tor the reces
sional. During the ceremony “Llebe-
straum” (Liszt) was softly played.
Mr. Tefft had as his best man Lt.
Col. Alvin 8. Sanders, brother of the
bride. Groomsmen were Joe C. Cline,
Lindsay B. Pierce and Jamee S. Bund-
rlckj*
Mrs. Alvin S. Sanders, Washington,
D. C.. matron of honor, wore an aqua
brocade satin fited go#n with full
skirt, three quarter' sleeve and match
ing train. She carried an arm bouquet
of yellow carnations, bronz chrysan
themums and English ivy. The brides
maids, Miss Dot Sowell, Mrs. Eric H.
Reeves, Camden, and Miss Patricia
Lee, IDarlingtcm, wore aqua taffeta
gowns with fitted bodice, fullskirts
and cap sleeves. They carried arm
bouquets of brandy wine roses, bronze
chrystanthemums and Ehiglish ivy.
The. lovely blonde bride, who was
given in marriage by her father, John
J. Sanders, was exquisite in her wed
ding gown of ivory satin, fashioned
with a high yoke of lace insertion
embroidered with seed pearls, leg-o’-
mutton train. Her three quarter
length veil of bridal illusion fell from
a tiara of seed pearli^ and she carried
a pHyer book topped with white gar
denias and showered with lily of the
valley. >
Mrs. John J,^ Sanders, mother of the
bride, wore a gown of Ashes of Roses
lace with a corsage of pink roses.
.Mrs. Glenn C. Tefft, mother of the
groom, wore a black dress with black
accessorises and a corsage of pink
roses.
Immediately-after the ceremony the
bride’s parents entertained at a recep
tion at the C!ourt Inn. Centering- the
bride’s table, which was covered with
a white lace cloth, was a bowl of
white pon * pon chrysanthemums,
flanked by silver candelabra holding
white tapers. At one end of the table
was a three tiered wedding cake top
ped with a miniature bride and
groom.
Assisting at the reception were
Mrs. C. F. Sowell, Mrs. L. B. Pierce,
Mrs. Annie Boykin, Miss Mary Pitts,
Miss Emily Stevenson and Miss Sybil
Drakeford.
Later daring the evening the couple
left on a wedding trip through the
Blue Ridge mountains and to Wells-
vllle, Ohio, where thgy will ^ be at
home after December Ist. For travel
ing the bride wore a brown three-
piece wool Jersey suit, aqua fur trim
med coat and brown accessories. Her
shoulder corsage was of white gar
denias.
Mrs. Tefft, the attractive daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Sanders, of
Camden, was graduated from Camden
High School, attended the University
of South Carolina for three years.
F’or the past year and a half she has
been employed by the Southern Avia
tion School, Camden.
Mr. Tefft. son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn
C. Tefft, Wellsvllle, Ohio, has recent
ly been discharged after about four
years of service. He completed 50
missions in Italy.
