Mills traveled extensively through
the south, rebuilt an old Spanish cas-
tie at St. Angustine, Fla., designed
the-Monumental church in Richmond,
the home occupied by Jefferson
Davis, known as the white house of
the Confederacy, i.ow a museum; the
library of South Carolina college, the
Mills building of the State hospital
in Columbia, the Kershaw county
court house, the Camden Presbyterian
church as well as court bousee in
many other counties of the state. He

the erection of the office buildings of
the treasury department, post office
and patent departments in Washing

Catoe’s duties are with the care
and maintenance of the guns used in
repulsing enenty air attacks. His
battle station is as trainer on one of
the anti.alrcraft batteries.
Before being assigned to this ship
last November. Catoe served aboard a
mine layer.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.
L. Catoe. 'Three brothers also are in
the Navy. TTiey are J. E. Catoe,
Harvle Catoe gnd Jack Catoe, who are
serving in the Pacific.
After graduating from Camden High
school in 1941, Catoe worked in the
textile industry.
