was stationed at Port Jackson before
leaving for overseas. Mrs. Torro and
son will leave for their Puerto Rican

Mrs. John S. Halsall, Sr., and the late
John S. Halsall, Sr., of this city, be
came the brWe of Lt. John E. Schnell,

field, Moultrie, Ga., at a pretty home
ceremony FYlday evening, April 6, at
8:30 o’clock at the home of the bride
on Lyttleton street. Rev. J. B. Cas-
t«n of the First Baptist church was
the officiating clergyman and during
the ceremony soft music was played
by Mrs. P. N. McCorkle.
The bride, a vision of loveliness in
a street length dress of yellow crepe
with a sweetheart neckline and black
accessories, carried a white prayer
Ixrak topped with a lavendar orchid,
showered with lilies of the valley.
Her only attendant was her at
tractive blonde aister. Miss Rhetta
Halsall, whose dress was of an ashes
of roses shade and w^ carried a
nosegay of pink fosei "amir'd^^Th-
iums.
Following the ceremony a small re
ception for Immediate relatives and
friends was held at the home of the
bride’s mother. Mrs. H. O. Wilson re
ceived at the door while Miss Nan
[ngram presided at the punch bowl.

The mother of the bride was attired

string of pearls, belonging to her

The bride is a graduate of the
Camden High schol and also of the
Metropolitan Business college of Se
attle, Washington. For the past three
years she has been associated with
Urn Commercial Bank of Camden.
Lt. Schnell Is the son of Mrs. Albert
I. Schnell and the late Albert I.
Schnell of Tower City, Penn. He was
the Personnel Officer of the Southern
Aviation school for several years.
Lt. and Mrs. Schnell left Tuesday
on a short wedding trip after which
they will go to Spence Field, where
they will make thetr home. For
traveling the bride wore a light blue
flannel suit with black accessories aii^
