one for the 226 Engineers and their
officers who W’ere on bivouac outside
our town. The Servicemen’s club,
under the leadership of Mrs. John
Lindsay, whom all the boys affection
ately call “Mom,” is ready at all times
to serve whenever called upon. So
when one of the officers requested
on Tuesday afternoon that we serve
Thanksgiving dinner to his men, her
enthusiasm and cooperation knew no
bounds. Her committees went into
a whirl and St. Mary’s Hall, made
available to the club for its activities

Saturday evening at 8 o’clock in
Grace ^iscdpal church, Camden. The
ceremony was performed by Dr. Mau
rice Clark. Misa Margaret Salmoi^.

The decorating committee, under
Mrs. 3ohn Mullin and Mrs. Warren
H. Harris, assisted by the Misses
Molly Roshalt and Nancy Sanders,
gaily decorated the hall with smilax,
brilliant autumn leaves! corn stalks
and pumpkins. Mfs. W. L. Ooodale
made the tables gay with baskets of
fruits and nuts centered with a light
ed candle and all the men sat down
together to enjoy .the delicious
Thanksgiving dinner of roast turkey,
vegetables, pumpkin and mince pie
and coffee. The food was provided
and cooked by the men in their mobile
kitchens and served hot and effi
ciently by Mrs. R. B. Pitta and her
corps of Red Cross Canteen workers,
assisted by others. After dinner the
floor was cleared for dancing with all
the lovely girls who came to make the
evening an enjoyable one for all the
boys and they really did! And what
a treat it was to dance to real muaie
provided by the Engineers' own three
piece orchestra. PrulL candy, cookies
