attending a meeting of the National

The marriage ot Miss Louise Trapp,
daughter of Mrs. Dock S. Trapp and
the late Dock S. Trapp of Camden,
to Jackson C. Brown, Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. Jackson C. Brown, Sr., of
this city, was solemnized Friday even-
ing, June 80, at 4:30 in the First
Baptist church, Jacksonville, FIs., Dr.
Homer G. Lindsay officiating.
The nuptial music was rendered by
Mts. W, H. Slater, organist, and Mrs
Elizabeth Bates, vocalist. The church
was beantlfully decorated.
Miss Trapp entered the church on
the arm of Mr. Kenneth B. Reid, by
whom she was given in marriage.
Mrs. Elmer B. Mattox, sister ot the
bridegroom and the bride’s only at-
tendant, wore a street length crepe
frock of chartreuse flowered in violet
Her bouquet was s nosegay of spring
flowers.,,
Elmer B. Mattox, brother-in-law of
and the ushers were Fred Locke, AMM
2-c, and John Adams, ARM, 8-c.
Mrs. Brown, mother of the bride
groom, was gowned in lavender sheer
with which she wore pink ascessorlM
and a corsage ot pink carnations.
The bride’s suit was a model of soft
white wool with the draping of the
short Jacket cangfat with bows ot .the
same material. Her hat was s small
mod^ of white gardenias and green
veiling • and her accessories were
white. She carried a white satin
Bible topped with gardenias and show-
eipd with white stephanotls and rib
bon.
The couple left immediately after
the ceremony tor their wedding trip.
The bride’s traveling costume was
two piece model of navy crepe and her
accessories were white. Her corsage
was of white gardenias.
Mrs. Brown is employed by the War
Ihigineer department, Jacksonville,
FIs., and Mr. Brown is connected with
the Forest Street Jewelry company.

room of the' Bethesds Presbyterian
church in Camden on Thursday, July

charge of the committee on Juvenile
delinquency of which Mr. Oliver Rice
Is chairman. Mr. Rice is pUnning to
have an outstanding Judge from one
of the Juvenile courts in South Caro-
ina to speak at this meeting.
Due to the nation-wide interest on
this subject at present, this will be
an open meeting and the pabllc

Jackson Young of Kershaw and Texas,
which took place Saturday, June 3, In
this city, Judge N. C. Arnett officiat
ing. The bride is the oldest dsugh-
ter of Louis Barfield and the late Mra.
Barfield of Kershaw. She is a grad
uate of the Baron DeKalb High school
and until recently attended the Medi
cal college of the South Carolina
School of Nursing. Private Young is
the son ot Mr. and Mrs. Jack Young
of Kershaw. He was educated in the
Kershaw schools and graduated from
the high school there. For the past
two years he has served In the army
