service in the U. S. Navy and is now
stationed at the Naval Air Station,

HOSPITAL AUXILIARY
ENTERTAINS NURSES
Following the "open house” held
for the public at the hospital last
Saturday afternoon, the members of
the Hospital Auxiliary entertained
the nurses and their dates with a par
ty hel(l,ln the newly renovated living
room of the nurses’ home at 8 o'clock.
Delicious sandwiches and punch were
served. This social event completed
the work of the Auxiliary until next
fall.

The last meeting until work is re
sumed in September, was held at
the home of Mrs. M. R. Hough. The
program consisted of readings and
interesting talks on the life of Presi
dent Jefferson Davis. Mrs. Von Tresc-
kow thanked the members of the
chapter for their response to the
work undertaken to make Memorial
Day a wonderful success. Work dor-
ing the Summer will consist of raianig
funds for donation of blood plasma.

(Betty) to Mark D. Harris, Jr.. Lieut.,
U. S. Army Air corps, son of Mr. and

At present Lt. Harris is stationed at
Marianna Army Air Base, Marianna,
Fla., as an instructor. The wedding

Frank's in honor of Miss Margaret
McDowell, Camden girl, whose mar
riage to John Mullen. Jr., of Camden,

The hostess presented the honor

were 16 guests present at the ateak
dinner. Mies McDowell and her maid

later in the week for Annapolis.

ternal grandmother, the late Mrs.

Lt. John H. Daniels, brother-in-law
of the groom, acted as best man.
Though there were no ushers, Lt.
James H. Dempsey, Jr., USNR, and
Lt. Charles Coles of Boston, the
groom’s cousin, assisted in grreeting
the guests. The latter were limited
to the families and Immediate friends
for the wedding ceremony and a few
