It comprised 327 articles which were made by the sewing room since the first of-the year. Besides local ladies who did their share of the work. Liberty Hill ladies made 49 of these articles and through Mrs. Wm. Fuller of Kershaw, 102 articles were made by the mem bers of the Home Be. class of their school. The Jewish Sisterhood of Camden made 30 articles. This ship- ment consisted of hotwater bag cov ers, ice bag covers, bed side bags, housewives, bed pan. covers, bed socks, cushions and cushion covers, also nine layettes sent to Columbia Air Base. Mrs. Pitts, Canteen chairman, an nounces that no more fats are to be processed at headquarters, as supply U not sufficient for two centers. DINNER DANCE The Sarafieid club was the scene of a brllliaiit dinner dance Monday evening when 50 officers of the 669 anti-aircraft battalion of Fort Jack- son, and their wives, gathered for an evening of refreshments and dancing. While the guests were in the main from Columbia, there are many of the 659th officers who are now mak ing their homes in Camden.
