The home of Mrs. C. W. Holley was
the scene of a lovely party on last
Thursday afternoon when she snd
Mrs. Bob Holley entertained, compli
menting Mrs. William Puller, recent
bride.
Spring colors were used in detail
throughout the rooms. Several con-
testa were enjoyed during the after
noon, Mrs. Roy Green winning the
prise. At the conclusion, a blind
folded game was played, when Mrs.
Fuller’s fold was removed she found
herself in the midst of an array of
gifts.

the dining room for refreshments.

GIRL SCOUTS TO MEET
’The Girl Scout troop Ubr girls ages
13 to 16 years, will meet Friday after
noon at 4:30 o’clock at the Boy Soout
Hut. This will be the fourth meeting
and plans for registration will be
completed.
The Girl Scout troop for girls ages
10 to 13 years, will meet Monday af-
tenioon at 4 o’clock at the Boy Scout
Hut. A picnic has been planned in
cluding a bicycle ride to Saddle and
Paddle. Ail who have bicycles are re
quested to bring them, however, for
those who do noL transportation will
lie furnished. EJach mpmber is re
quested to bring her lunch.
There will be one chaperone for
each eight girls. Those wishing to
paddle, bring your suits. Plenty of

ant Knight is now stationed at Morris Field, Charlotte, N. C.

Camden Wednesday afternoon and
paid a call at the Chronicle office and

reau. Col. Wright was the first com
manding officer at the Southern Avia
tion school when that institution was
launched.
Capt. John C. West of Camp Stew
art, Ga., arrived on Thursday of last
week to spend a few days with bla

Farm. Upon his departure, Capt
West will be accompanied by his wife,
formerly Miss Lois Rhame, who has
been visiting her relatives here the
