Tech. Serg. Joe Shannon, who left
Camden 27 months ago when he en
tered the armed service, returned

was in the nature of a honeymoon, for
the lovely bride that Sergeant Joe
brought back to Camden waa the

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. fYederick
Q. Muhleisen of Lyndhurst, N. J. They
were married at Lyndhurst last Satur
day.
The young couple are visiting Mr.
and Mrs. W. J. Shannon at Boykin
until today, when they start back
north as Sergeant Shannon must re
port at the X)fficers school at Fort
Monmouth, N. J.. for additional train
ing of a specialised natnre.
Sergeant Shannon made the trip
from far off Persia, where he baa been
located, to F(Ht Monmouth via air.

kin of Boykin, who Is in charge of an

Sergeant and Mrs. Shannon will
make their home at Lyndhurst, N. J.,
until the sergeant has completed his
course of training at Fort ||onmouth.

The bride was given in marriage by
Lt; Frank R. KenUon,^ USNR. She
was attired in an afternoon gown of
white marquisette, with a square neck
line trimmed with flat ruffles, a long
fitted bodice and a full skirt. Her
head band was of orange blossoms and
held an illusion veil and she carried
a prayer book threaded with pikake
lei and topped by a cluster of white
exoria.
Lt. Clyde Ruble (ANC) was maid of
honor and wore a gown of pale green
net with a sweetheart neckline. She
carried a sheath of African daisies.
Captain Raymond J. Royce, U.SJL,
was best man; Cpl. Richard J. Mines
played the bridal chorus from Lohen
grin and Mendellohn's wedding march.

Ciemson. He is a member of the
naval air force. He is stationed in
