The wives of the cadets and the stu
dent officers have certain times of the
week in which to gather at the Cen
ter and enjoy bridge, knitting and
other forms' of recreation. Last MonI
day evening seven student officers
and their wives enjoyed a sumptious
dinner which had been prepared by
the wives in the kitchen of the Cenv
ter. The writer of this story chanced
to drop in during the aftemon and
was amased at the fine biscuits, apple
pies, etc., which were in the process
of making. Later reports indicated
our prognostications as to the ex
cellent results of the culinary efforts
were fulfilled to the letter.

The annual report of J. C. Ewing,
chairman of the Scout committee
showed the committee had worked
closely with the County Council of the
Boy Scouts. A study of the troops
existing at the time of organization
and the need for other troops was
carefully made during the year. These
plans materialised with the organiza
tion of additional troops. The com
mittee recognized the need of a Scout
ing program for the colored citizens
and encouraged the successful organi-

Mr. Ewing mentioned that this com
mittee had stepped out of its boun-

Scouting, realizing the need for such
an organization in Camden. They have

for a Girl Scouting program.
