ored glasses! But it doesn’t make
sense. Don’t call me a pessimist. I’m
plumb in the middle of the fight—
and although like you, 1 esun see Vic>
tory in sight, there’s still a long, tough
battle ahead!

optimism. That’s why I’m here to

fight; and above all buy more War
Bonds—yes—’till it hurts! All it will
be hurting will be your wallet—but if
you don’t shell out for War Bonds you
may be bringing to his death a fight
ing man you love—whose life might
be spared if your War Bond purchases
help shorten the war by so much as
one day.
