I Let's face the reality! This is total,
global war!
Out there, on some distant battlefield,
an American soldier lies wounded
?ugly, painful wounds inflicted by a
deadly, treacherous enemy. He may be
your son?or the laughing, tow-headed
kid that only yesterday lived in a house
down the street. Remember,?
Willing?strong?courageous hands
carry him back to the emergency station.
Skilled, tender workers administer a
blood transfusion on the spot?Blood
contributed by the American Red Cross
?Blood from the pulsing veins of thousands
of Americans back home?Blood
that will save the life of one willing to
die for the great American IDEAL! {
At the base hospital, Army nurses, ]
recruited by the Red Cross, dress his i
wounds and restore him to health?so i
that he will again face the terrible foe
until the culprits are driven from the
face of the earth! His family is notified
by Red Cross field directors?for they 1
are his family's representatives on the ? I
battlefield.
Now, folks of Kershaw County, let's
keep faith with those who pour out their I
very life-blood that we might enjoy the I
blessings of DEMOCRACY?that we , I
might GIVE to the world those freedoms |
we cherish so highly. h
