Ransack your attics, your spare rooms, your barn, your garage. Collect all the old metal, rubber and rags you have !
on the premises ? place them in old boxes, barrels, etc., on the curb in front of your home. |
Thursday morning the department of public works will have every city truck in operation collecting the salvage. :
Your Uncle Sam needs metal for ammunition, rubber for tires for fighting tanks, etc., and rags for purposes of defense.
ALSO ? save all the fats and grease you can. Take it to your grocer or meat dealer and
either donate or sell it to him. Your country needs fats and grease to make explosives.
AND YOU ALSO MR. AND MRS. KERSHAW COUNTY - If you live outside of the city
limits, take your collection to the nearest store in your area and leave it there.
CO-OPERATE IN HELPING UNCLE SAM WIN THIS WAR
