The ceremony was performed by the ltev. F. C. Smith, of SUmmerton, a cousin of the Pride. The double ring ceremony was used. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Huggins. of'Aynor. She is h graduate in music at Winthrop College of the class of) 1940. Since, this time she has been a member ,of the faculty of the Chester city schools. She was a member of the Winthrop Sextet, president of the college glee club and member of the Y. W. C. A. cabinet. She la one of Chester's most charming and popular young women and sflice becoming associated with the local schools has made a host of friends here. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Campbell, of Chester, formerly of Camden. He received his education at Clemson college and North Carolina Sthte college at Raleigh. N. C. At present he is employed by the state highway vehicle inspection unit and Is in training In the advanced course at the Palmetto Air School in Spartanburg.?Cheater Heporter. Cunningham?Eskridge A marriage of muoh interest to their relatives and many friendB is that of Miss Sarah Whitaker Cunningham and Sgt. Robert Franklin Eskridge, which took place at three o'clock Saturday afternoon, December 27, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles D. Cunningham at Liberty Hill. The lovely ring ceremony, characterized by simplicity, was performed by the Rev. A. H. McArn, of Cheraw, in the presence of the bride's family and a few friends. 1 The attractive bride wore a brown silk crepe dress. Her corsage was of pink rosebuds, and her only ornament was a pink amethyst brooch which belonged to her great-grandmother, Mrs. John Whitaker, of Camden. The house was simply decorated with Christmas evergreens. The bride tind groom stood before a floor vase of pink gladioli. The bride, a graduate of Winthrop college, class of 1937, has been teaching in the Cheraw public schools for the past few years. The bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Eskridge of Cheraw. At present he is stationed with the L'63rd Coast Artillery, Fort Moultrie. After the ceremony fruit cake, coffee and mints were served by young friends of the bride. The bride and groom were served by the bride's twin sister, Mary. The guests registered in the wedding guest book used by the bride's parents. Later the couple left for a short wedding trip. ^ Baptist Church Services The following services are announced for week beginning January 4, at Camden Baptist Church: Sunday school at 10 o'clock with C. O. Stogner. superintendent in charge. Public Worship at 11:15 a. m. and 7:30 p. m., conducted by H. D. Anderson. Prayer and parise worship on Wednesday evening at 7:30. The Christmas dance ef the Tri Gamma club, always an annual affair of Interest among the younger set, took place in Richardson Hall of the Parish House, Monday evening. Clarence Brasall't orchestra from Columbia, played for the dance. The decorations for the ball carried out the club colors of blue and white, with a canopy of streamers and balloons overhead, and garlands of smllax and silver stars covering thft ?14? and the frames of the many windows and doors. Behind the orchestra was a screen of smllax, an$ a large blue triauKle with Tri Gamma written upon It in silver letters. The grand ma&h wus led by the officers of the club, i and their dates in the following order. Three Camdenites Hurt in Auto Crash Throe Camden people went to a Chestor hospital Friday night as tho result of two automobiles colliding on the Lockhart-Chegter...highway, three miles east of Lockhart. There were eleven persons taken to the hospital after the crash. Those from Camden were Barney Dixon, Arthur Blackwell, still in the hospital and W. T. McKnlght, who was discharged Saturday. The people, above mentioned, were In the Camden car and eight wfcye In the Lockhart machine. According to the city director Barney Johnson is a loom fixer at the Hermitage mill and resides in the mill village; Blackwell is also a loom fixer and resides In the Hermitage area. The name of T. W. McKnlght does not appear in the directory. Death Claims Father Of Camden Ladies Lancaster, Dec. 9. ? William R. Hegler, Sr., 68, prominent farmer of the Antloch community of Lancaster county, died suddenly today at his home. He Is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie Arant Hegler, and six children, Eugene Hegler of Charlotte, N. C., Miss Jaunita Hegler of Rock Hill, Mrs. L. C. Clyburn and Mrs. Grayson Shaw of Camden, and Mrs. Gaylord Plyler, William R.
