Had Birthday Party
Mrs. Sidney T. Zemp gave a lovely
party on Friday last for her son, Sidney
T. Zemp, Jr., celebrating his fourth
birthday.
The porch was decorated in balloons
of all colors and the table decorations
also carried out this rainbow color
acheme. Refreshments of ice cream
tnd cakes wore served to around
twenty yonngsters and each was given
three favors at the conclusion of
the party.

One of the loveliest parties given
In Camden in some time was the tea
on Saturday from fl to 7 o'clock in
honor of Mr. and Mrs* W. Oakman
Hay, Jr., of Ridgewood, N. J. and
given by the former's mother, Mrs.
W. O. Hay.
The lower floor of the home was
beautifully decprated with summer
flowers of varied hues as well as the
dining room where refreshments were
served.
Mrs. William Shannon, of Boykln
presided at the punch bowl and Mrs.
J. H. McDaniel assisted In serving
delicious sandwiches and cakes.
As Mr. and Mrs. Hay are on a short
visit this occasion brought together
many of their old friends of Camden
and neighboring towns and was a
successful and happy reunion of former
friends and relatives.

The Camden Service Club will resume
their regular Friday night
dances August 22. With the large
group of Hnglueers back lu Camden
and the group from the 10th Coast
Aftlltery now stattouod at the Kirkwood
this promises to be oue of the
best dances yet held. The party will

Bishop Qrlbben, of the Diocese of
Western North Carolina, now chief
of chaplains at Fort Jackson, and
carrying the rank of Lieutenant Colonel,
conducted services at Grace
Episcopal church here on Sunday
last. .*
Bishop Grlbbens' headquarters in
his dloeese are In Asheville and one
year ago he obtained leave in order
to Join his old outfit of World War
One. In tl)e early part of his ministry
Blshqp Grlbbens was at Grace
church and both he and the congregation
enjoyed the reunion.

which took place Friday, July 26
in SwaJnsboro, Ga. The ring ceremony
was performed by the Rev. P.
E. McPherson, pastor of the Methodist
church.

wore a pink dress with white accessories.
Mrs. Stewart is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. D. G. Joye. She received
her education at Columbia College,
and for the past several years has
been a successful and popular teacher
In the schools of Ij^rshaw County.
Mr. Stewart Is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Stewart, of Elliott, S. C.
He is now connected with Fedoral
Security Administration located at
Saint Matthews, S. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart after a wedding

Bridge Street, St. Matthews, 8. C.

will take place in the early fall.
