Section i. JOvory person, firm, com
pany <>r corporation, engaged on May
1, 1941. in any calling, bualneea, pro
tension or occupation in whole or li
part within the City of Camden, at
may be hereinafter specified, ahull otj
tain during the month of Ma^y, 1941
a license therefor in the manner here
Inafter prescribed. Every person, firm
company or corporation commencing
business in said city on or before th<
first day of May, 1941, shall in like
manner obtain a license therefor be
fore enterng upon such culling, bua
iiess, profession, or occupation hi

Section 2. Every person, firm com
pany or corporation engaged lb or in

ply to the Clerk and Treasurer or the

under oath, and fllo It with the
said Clerk and Treasurer,, setting
forth: First, his or her or Its name
or style, the name of the persons constituting
such firm or company. Sec
and the calling, business, profession
or occupation for which license la
required Third, the place where such
calling, business, profoaalon or occupation
Is to be carried on; the amount
or capital Invested, or the gross an
nwal Income. Putties In business on
the first of May. shall make such ap
plication for new license and llle such
written statement, before May 21st.
Section 3 A penalty of tlftocn pet
cent, shall bo added to all license*
which aTe~not paid during the month
of May. 1941, except such as may be
come due after that time. Provided
however, that Immediate payment may
be required lit each and every case
at the discretion of the said Clerk and
Treasurer, and the foregoing provis

action to enforce immediate payment;

scribed, and if any person, firm, com

do by the terms of this ordinance
shall refuse or neglect to make oui

ordinance, the said Clerk and Treas
urer shall report the case to the
Mayor, who shall proceed to ascortalr
as nearly as possible, tho business o:
such person, firm, company or corpor
atlon, for which ho, she or It may he
liable to a license tax therefor, and ir
case of default for the purpose o:
such Investigation, tho said Clerk ant
Treasurer shall notify the person
firms, companies,-or corporation?It
default to appear before the Muyot
ut his office?at a time stated in said
notice; and ulso such witnesses as t^ic
Mayor may desire to examine. The
witnesses called as aforesaid shull be
examined by the Mayor, under oath
or affirmation, touching (lie nature of
the business of such, party, and everything
which may evince the amount
of license tax for which such party
shall bo liable.
From the information thus acquired
the Mayor shall lind and assess the
amount of license tax due by such
party whether be. she or it attended
the invest Igat ton or not. ami shall
add thereto a penalty of titteen per

tax and penalty be not paid within

That each moving picture machine

of an experienced operator holding a

and no person shall operate any such
moving picture machine in the City of
Camden without first obtaining a certificate
of fitness from said board as
herein provided, neither shall any person,
firm, corporation permit the operation
of any such moving picture
machines owned by such person, Prm
or corporation by any one other than
a person holding a certificate of fitness
as herein provided.
Said Board shall have full power
and authority to prescribe rules and
regulations governing the conduct of
the operators, and the operation of
all moving picture machines and said
board from a fire standpoint is hereby
