Miss Louie Lang, vico president, will ho in change. Registration will begin at 10 a. in Several committee chairmen will be introduced and there will be a speaker on horticulture. The president of each club represented will respond with a sejrteuce on conservation in her particular community After lunch the hostess club will conduct the members on a pilgrimage? ending with teas in different homes. Loo Little, whose marriage to William Nettles, of Camden, will take place Friday evening, April 18, in Hothesda Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, at noon, Mrs. (Knights McArn and Mrs. Hamilton Osborne, of Columbia were Joint hostesses at a pretty luncheon which they gave In honor of Miss Little at the Forest I*ako Co.untry Club, In Columbia. Among those from Camden driving <>ver for the affair wore Miss Little,*, and her mother, Mrs. T. 1hh> Little; Mrs. Elliott Sheorn, Miss Margretta Little, Mrs. Mortimer Mullet', Mrs. John Nettles and Mrs. Jack Nettles. Mrs. Willis Sheorn entertained with a bridge party for Miss Little, Thursday afternoon. A dozen friends of the bride-elect were invited. Mrs. l^ee Little won the high score prize and Miss Little and Miss Carolyn Cantey, a bride of April 5, receivod gifts from the hostess. C. entertained with a bridge party in honor of Miss Little, and Miss Cantey. Mrs. Jenkins entertained at the home of her another, Mrs. Marie Tindal, on Fair Street. Beautiful gifts of silver wero presented the bride elects. , Mrs. Clarence Brabham, of Bamberg, complimented Miss Carolyn Cantey with a beautiful luncheon, Wednesday at noon. The luncheon was given at the home of Mrs. Brabham's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Nettles, Sr., and a dozen guests were Invited. Miss Cantey's place was marked with a coiMMfte and a gift for her trousseau, artistically tied with white ribbon. After the rehearsal of the CanteyLand wedding party Thursday evening, Mr. ana Mrs. Pierce Cantey gave a . delightful supper party at the Beard's cabin at the Hermitage Lake. I>arge bowls of spring flowers made an attractive setting for the supper to which 30 guests had been invited. Mr. and Mre. Cantey were assisted in entertaining by Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Cantey, Mrs. H. E. Beard, and Miss Charlotte Boykin, of Charleston. Saturday, the day of the CanteyI^and wedding, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. : Cantey of Columbia entertained with a lovely luncheon at the home of Mrs. Cantey's parents, Mr. and Mrs H. E. Beard. Hoykln. Guesta attondluK the wedding were mom bora of the two families and a few close friends of tho bride. The house was beautifully decorated with southern amllax and in the coromony room and tho dining room, only whit? flowers were ustxl. The ruowa were - lighted entirely with candles. The Rev. Bryce Herbert performed the ring service before an improvised altar at the end of the room. A largo mirror, around which smllax was ^entwined, formed a background for floor eandlelabra andv floor baskets tilled with white gladioli and other white flowers. On the mantle was a row of graduated White candles against a background of green. The candles wore lighted by the bride's brother, J. B. Cantej\ of Columbia. 1 Mrs. James Candy furnished the nuptial music. Before tho. ceremony she played "I Ix>v? You Truly" and accompanied Mrs. Everett Montgomery who sang "One Alone". During the ceremony "Delbestraum" was soft- : ly played. The traditional wedding i march was used for the bridal party ! to gnter. Hobby McCarty, tho son of Mr. and j Mrs. 11. E. McCarty, was tl\o ring ! bearer. He wore a white linden suit and carried the ring in the heart of a rose. The flower girl was Virginia 1x30 Brabham, of Bamberg, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Brabham. She wore a long dress of soft yellow taffeta and carried an old fashioned nosegay of mixed flowers surrounded by double cornflowers and tied with yellow and blue satin ribbon. The bride's only attendant was Miss Ellen T^ittie, who wore pale blue chiffon and carried an arm bouquet of mixed wpring flowers with blue delphinium predominating, and tied with wide, yellow satin ribbon. The bridegroom's best man was his brother Benny Land, of Bamberg. The 'bride entered with her brother, Pierce Cantey, by whom she was given In marriage. She wore her mother's wedding dress of heavy crepe back satin made princess style and trimmed with panels of real lace. The yoke and caps over the sleeves were of the same lace and the skirt bad a train of the same material. Her veil of bridal illusion was caught to a headpiece of orange blossoms. Her only ornament was a string of seed pearls and.her bouquet was of whit? roses, gardenias and lilies of the valley showered with lilies of the valley. Mrs. Belton O. Boykin, the bride's mother wore a dress of pale blue lace and chiffon and a corsage of sweetheart rosea ami delphinium. A reception was hold Immediately J after the weddingIn ^ho dining room, the table was covered with a lace cloth and the centerpiece was a silver bowl of white snapdragons, (tanked by white candles In silver candl'oholdors. At one end of the table was the three tiered wedding cako, topped with a miniature bride and groom stepping from a silver bell. The gold emblems were tied with white satin ribbon, showered with lilies of the valley. Miss Charlotte Boy kin presided in the dining room and she was assisted In serving by Miss Betty Glenn, of Boykins, Miss Barbara Zemp, Miss Susan Team, Miss Nancy Watts, Miss Jean VuuLand Ingham. Miss Jane Clarkson and Miss Vivian Land, of > Bamberg. Mrs. Clarence Brabham, of Bamberg. received In the gift room and Mrs. Dan Mockey bad charge of the bride's register. Others assisting were Mrs. J. B. Cantey and Mrs. H. E. Board. For traveling, Mrs. Umd changed to an ensenvblo of azure sky duplex fabric, with which she woro beige accessories and a beige coat having a cross fox fur collar. Her corsage was of gardenias. After April 19, Mr. and Mrs. Land will be at home in the Edgewood Apartments In Gastonia. Mrs. Land, a petite and lovely blond, Is the only daughter of Mrs. Belton O. Boykln, of Camden. She was educated at the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina and for the past three years has been1 private secretary to Judge Wade H. Williams in Charlotte. Mr. I^and is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sfuith Land, of Clarendon County, South Carolina. Bo Is now vice president of Thread Incorporated, of Gastonia.
