IN CR088ING CRASH
Claude Albert Gregory, S#7. was k 111ed
Friday night at 10 a. m., in a grade
crowing crash two miles west .of
Georgetown.
He had boon an employe for two
years at Camp N<? 2?. Santee,Cooper
project,
Funeral aery icon were hold at 11 a.
in., Monday, at Kershaw Methodist
church, with interment at the Hand
Hill baptist church cemetery. The

He Is survived by his widow, Mrs
bureau Hryoo Gregory; one daughter,
Mildred Gregory of Camden; mother,
Mrs. Florence Gregory, Camden; live

Gregory of Fort Jackson and Curtis F.
Gregory, of Lancaster, and one slater,

Fletcher gave a most Interesting and
Informative talk on tho use of holly
for homo and church decorations.
Much care and thought had been
given to the preparation of this lecture
and It received enthusiastic applause
from the entire membership.
Tho Chronirlo hopes at some future
!date to be able to publish the paper
in Its entirety, ft ho also spoke of
"Christmas Customs" in many lands.
During the social hour delicious
sandwiches wore served from a beautifully

Dr Maurice Clarke was a speaker
before the children of the grammar
school Monday morning taking as his
subject the preservation of holly. He
also exhibited several species of holly
and his address was well received by
the children, lie will speak again
this morning at i>:40 in the high school
auditorium to the pupils of the high
school. '
Posters have neon placed in vurlous
places of the business district making
a plea for holly preservation. They
were {minted by members of the Camden
garden club and Xrieuds of the
members.
The Camden gurdeu club desires to
