Jordan ontertalnod at her home Wednesday afternoon with a miscellaneous shower, honoring Mrs. Paul Faulkenberry, a recent bride. The house was beautifully decorated with a profusion of late summer flowers. As the guests arrived they were asked to sign the bride's register by thb hostess' daughter, Miss Marlowe Burch. Contests were conducted by Mrs. Cyril B. Busbee. Prizes were awarded the winner*, who iu turn, presented them to the bride. A bouquet of roses and fern tied with & large white bow marked the bride's chair. During the afternoon two pickaninnies brought in the "Week s Wash , which turned out to be a laundry basket filled with many lovely and useful gifts for the bride. The guests were Invited out on the veranda where delightful refreshments were served, consisting of sandwiches, cakes, mints and punch. Carrying out the hostess cplor scheme of yellow and white. Mrs. W. C. Horton, mother of the bride, presided at the punch bowl. Clubs Met This Week Among the clubs having meetingsj this week were the-Friends of Children, who met at Mrs. George Brum, son's home Thursday morning and the Camden Garden Club which met for, the vflrst time this fall with Miss Delia Shannon and Miss Charlotte Shannon The members of the Junior Welfare League held their September meeting Monday afternoon at the home of the president, Mrs. Poland Goodale. The following officers, elected at the June meeting, took over their duties for the coming year^ Mrs. Goodale, as president; Mrs. R. E. McCarty, vice president; Mrs. Charles DeLoache, ^responding secretary^ Mrs. Boy kin Rhame, recording secretary and Mrs. Clarkson Rhame, member at large. Also on the board of directors are Mrs. W. F. Nettles, Jr., chairman of the Dental Clinic; Miss Gertrude Zemp chairman of the Tonsil Clinic, and Miss EHen Little, chairman of the Eye Clinic.
