He is a graduate of Alabama Polytechnic Institute, at Auburn, and also an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, which he attended three years. He and his* bride will make their home in .Camden, where he is cou-j nected with the government Experiment Bureau and where he also practices his profession with his father. Stout?Porter Party One of the prettiest and most delightful affairs of. the holidays was the egg nog party which Mrs. Edmund Stout and her daughter, Mrs. James Porter gave Christmas eve. Between the hours of 4:30 and 7 o'clock about r two hundred guests called at the Stout home on North Broad street. Mr Owens was well-known and the large crowd attending the funeral and the many floral offerings were but silent testimony of the high esteem in which he was held by all who knew him. Mrs. Mary Phillips Dead Mrs Mary Phillips. 78, died Wedoetday. December 13, at the home of her daughter, Mr.. E. D. Outen. after a lingering illness. . Mrs. Phillips is survived by three children, Mrs. E. D. Outen. with whom she made her home; Mrs. Pete Hlnson and Thomas Phillips. Mrs. Roberts Dead Mrs. Alice Jane Roberts, aged 60, wife of J. Morgan Roberts, died at her home hero on Sunday, December 17, after a long illness. Besides her husband, she is survived^ by five sons, I>onne, James, William, Gllman and John, all of Kershaw; throo daughters, Mrs. jr. L. Stroud, Mrs. Bill Hinson, and Mrs. H. C. Griffin, all of Kershaw, and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services wero conducted nt 3 o'clock Monday afternoon, December 18, from Buffalo Baptist church. The services were conducted by Rev. D.
